Working Wardrobes

About

Working Wardrobes empowers men, women, veterans and young adults overcoming difficult challenges to enter the workplace with confidence with the goal of achieving success and self-sufficiency. The organization provides a comprehensive and integrated range of workforce readiness and career development services to vulnerable and at-risk individuals. Services include job training, job placement and retention assistance, and wardrobe assistance in an environment of dignity and respect.

Its guiding philosophy is the belief that people are more powerful than the barriers they face and that everyone shares the desire to achieve success. By finding and maintaining employment, clients develop a sense of personal responsibility and self-esteem that helps them to become productive members of society.

Working Wardrobes' VetNet programs addresses the high rate of unemployment and employability barriers faced by military veterans by providing them with support and resources to identify and maintain employment through a comprehensive "wrap-around" range of services.

Over half of the organization's annual revenue comes from its consignment/re-sale stores The Hanger, which are located in Tustin and Laguna Niguel, and the Working Wardrobes' Thrift Shop in Anaheim. In 2015, Working Wardrobes plans to launch a staffing agency that will help to facilitate its clients' placement in jobs.
