About

Amigos de los Rios (Amigos) works to create vibrant communities by designing high quality public environments in collaboration with local governments, businesses and residents and strives to bring renewed life to urban neighborhoods.

The Amigos' highest priority is the creation of the Emerald Necklace Regional Park Network comprised of sustainable open spaces along urban river corridors that connect the mountains to the sea--protecting the environment and strengthening community life for the benefit of current and future generations.

Amigos has formed an alliance of 62 public agencies, known as the Emerald Necklace Coalition, which collaborates in the planning of new parks and trails and raising funds for the project.
