Office of Strategic Partnerships, City of Los Angeles

About

In 2009 Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa created the Office of Strategic Partnership (OSP) to build communication and partnership among major Los Angeles foundations, philanthropists and the Mayor’s office with the goal of improving the quality of life for the people of the City of Los Angeles. Mayor Garcetti is in the process of selecting a Deputy Mayor to head this area.

The OSP seeks to galvanize the government and philanthropic sectors to share expertise, lessons learned and creative problem solving. It also helps facilitate effective relationships for foundations engaged in partnering with various City departments on existing programs by helping to cut red tape and seize opportunities.
