Los Angeles Business Journal

About

Each week, the award-winning Los Angeles Business Journal editorial and research teams provide in-depth analyses of the community’s dynamic business and economic scene.

Regular departments include “Up Front,” highlighting L.A.’s entrepreneurs and the businesses they’re creating; “News & Analysis,” examining local business’ actions and decisions; and “Investment and Finance,” where L.A.’s many public companies are profiled and analyzed.

The Journal’s “Lists” offer comprehensive data and statistics on top-ranked Los Angeles companies across all industries, including philanthropy. Each of these surveys is then compiled into the Los Angeles Business Journal’s invaluable resource, the annual "Book of Lists."

In 2010, the Los Angeles Business Journal created the Patrick Soon-Shiong Innovation Awards, in partnership with Dr. Soon-Shiong. In the words of its namesake, the Awards seek to “focus attention on the great ideas that are emerging all the time in our companies and universities, encourage people to follow their dreams and dare to innovate, and encourage others to support the innovators and give them the breaks they need to succeed.”
