LAist 89.3 launched in January 2023 as a new unified brand that brings together the NPR radio station KPPC 89.3, the digital news site LAist.com, and podcasts presented by LAist Studios under one name. 

AirTalk with Larry Mantle is the the station and perhaps the region's most popular radio interview call-in host. Mantle has been the host of AirTalk since 1985 and is the longest-running daily talk show in Southern California. His program provides lively and in-depth discussions of city news, politics, science, the arts, entertainment and more.
