Young Women Social Entrepreneurs

About

Young Women Social Entrepreneurs (YWSE) provides an environment in which young women social entrepreneurs’ visions and goals are affirmed, supported, promoted, and propelled. It serves women with a socially conscious agenda who are founders and leaders within businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations.

Young Women Social Entrepreneurs have vision and ambition, but are often challenged by lack of support from mentors and peers, lack of access to resources, and lack of training in the skills necessary to manage high impact projects and organizations. YWSE seeks to address this.

The organization was established in San Francisco in 1999 and has now established chapters in Portland, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Miami, Ghana and Nairobi.

Young Women Social Entrepreneurs LA is a growing community of women committed to supporting one another as they work toward social and environmental change in their respective fields.
