James Irvine Foundation

About

The Irvine Foundation has long been at the forefront of philanthropy in California. Its core program areas are: Arts, California Democracy and Youth, with a special emphasis on the San Joaquin Valley and the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties). The Foundation has focused on these geographic areas because they have been traditionally underserved by philanthropy; they are experiencing major demographic shifts and rapid population growth; and they are regions where low-income Californians reside in disproportionate numbers.

The Foundation’s website includes tools for evaluating impact along with links to its publications. It also includes information on the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Awards, which are given annually.
