Annenberg Alchemy


Alchemy refers to the practice of turning something ordinary into something extraordinary. In the spirit of that process and with the board chair/executive director relationship at its core, Annenberg Alchemy shifts the way nonprofit executives and board members serve their organizations.

The training program builds on their commitment, aligning them in common purpose to spark an unstoppable force for change. This will ensure financial solvency, programmatic effectiveness and organizational sustainability. Through participation in Alchemy, the ability to deliver high quality services to the region's most vulnerable constitutents living in unerserved, undercapitalized neighborhoods will be maximized.

Alchemy consists of several different phases of training beginning with its signature three-day Leadership Seminar. The Seminar focuses on fundraising, board effectiveness, civic engagement and accountability. Alchemy+, the second phase of training, consists of four highly participatory sessions designed to address the specific needs of participating nonprofits and their leaders. Alchemy Labs is a series of workshops that empower executive directors and board chairs to find new formulas for organizational success.
